ECO-Marathon

From Wednesday may 16 until Saturday may 19 the Rotterdam AHOY complex formed the background for the European edition of the Shell Eco-marathon. This event, with editions in America and Asia, challenges student teams from around the world to design, build and test ultra energy-efficient  vehicles and the winners are the teams that go the furthest using the least amount of energy. The ultimate goal of the events is to inspire young engineers to push the boundaries of fuel efficiency.

ANWB (www.anwb.nl) included Shell Eco-marathon into their Elektrische Tour 2012. This tour offers people the opportunity on various events in Holland to go test riding in different types of electrical cars and that way get to know the last innovations in this area and what the market has to offer.

Neo was responsible for the technical design and realization of the stand of ANWB which, with its dimensions of 25 meters long and 6 meters high and nice bright colors, was the eye catcher of the event and functioned as start- and endpoint of the test rides and from here the vehicles could be approached by the potential drivers.

LINC 2012

From the 25th till the 28th of January the Leipzig Interventional Course (LINC) 2012 was being held in Leipzig, Germany. For the first time this medical congress took place in the new spacious surroundings of the Leipziger Messe.

One of the eye catchers for this edition was a live discussion forum which took place in a circular set up. The audience was placed around a slowly rotating stage on which the medical specialists were seated, which resulted in a lively, varied and stimulating discussion environment.

Neo was responsible for the realization of the rotating stage. Special challenge was the transferring of the various cabling for, among other things, the video HD systems (3 camera’s, monitors, data, power supply, etc.) onto the continuously moving stage, which was realized using the latest developments in cable guiding technology.
